Discovering Clara Dermatology

Clara Dermatology is a renowned dermatology clinic and MedSpa located in the heart of Cary, NC. Known for their expertise in skin treatments and innovative solutions, I knew I was in good hands when I chose them for my keloid healing journey. The Clara Dermatology website provided so much insight into their values and services so I knew upon reading all about them that I had to pay them a visit.

Understanding Keloids

Keloids are an overgrowth of scar tissue that can form on the ear lobes and other parts of the body. They can be uncomfortable and affect self-confidence. After researching various treatment options, I decided to explore injections as a non-invasive method to heal my keloids. While I’m not a big fan of needles, it was my preference to choose a method that would have a quick recovery and allow me to see results over time.

The Consultation Process

Upon arriving at Clara Dermatology, I was warmly greeted by their friendly staff. As soon as you walk through the doors of Clara Dermatology there is a thoughtful and intentional presence that shows you how much the team has put into creating a safe space that settles any nerves or worries you may have. During the consultation, Dr. Rebecca Bialas and Dr. Joanna Hooten, a highly skilled dermatologist team, carefully examined my keloids and explained the treatment process. They took the time to address all my concerns and ensured I felt comfortable moving forward.

The Injection Treatment

The injection treatment for keloid healing involved a series of appointments. At each session, they skillfully administered the injections directly into the keloids on my ears. The process was relatively painless, but there was definitely a bit of pressure and a quick pinch. I was offered a stress ball to squeeze for any discomfort I was feeling and was even reassured before each injection that I could let the doctor know if I needed a break. (Which was honestly so kind and made me feel so much more comfortable)

Results and Follow-up

After several weeks of treatment, I started noticing significant improvements. The keloids gradually flattened, and the discomfort I had experienced before was greatly reduced. Dr. Bialas closely monitored my progress throughout the entire healing process, providing guidance and support along the way.

My Keloids flattened SO much, that I was even able to wear clip on earrings. I personally love these pressure clips from Amazon because they are doing the work of adding pressure on the earlobes to help the Keloids from growing back too quickly while also looking super stylish.
